Unreal views and easy route to follow!
Honestly one of the coolest things we did in Spain. The path is well-marked. We took our time, stopped for tons of photos, and just soaked it all in. The hanging bridge at the end is insane (in a good way). I’m a total adrenaline junkie and I loved looking down 100 meters below. Totally worth it! Book early though, tickets go fast!
Core memory unlocked!
This was perfect for us! No group, no guide, just us and the views. The trail felt safe the whole way, but still had that wow-factor. We brought snacks and had a little break halfway through. Just make sure to wear proper shoes and don’t forget your helmet (they give it to you before starting). 10/10 experience!

WALK THE FAMOUS HIKING TRAIL IN SPAIN
Explore one of Spain’s most iconic hiking routes with your Caminito del Rey entry ticket. This 7.7-kilometer trail runs through deep gorges and narrow canyons in the Málaga province. The walkway is suspended up to 100 meters above the river, while the surrounding cliffs reach heights of over 400 meters!
ADMIRE CLIFFS, CANYONS, AND THE GUADALHORCE RIVER
As you walk along the boardwalk, you’ll be surrounded by towering rock walls and dramatic scenery. Some parts of the trail rise over 400 meters above the river below, while others narrow to just 10 meters wide. Look down to see the fast-moving waters of the Guadalhorce River rushing through the gorge. This route offers panoramic views and plenty of chances to stop for photos.
EXPLORE A PATH WITH RICH HISTORY
The Caminito del Rey was originally created as a service path for workers at local hydroelectric plants. Parts of the trail also follow what was once a railway track in the 19th century. You’ll see old tunnels, bridges, and remains of early industrial infrastructure along the way. This mix of nature and history makes the experience both scenic and meaningful.

Visiting Caminito del Rey on your own or with a guided tour?
Booking a Caminito del Rey entry ticket lets you explore at your own pace. That’s great if you’re confident in navigating the trail and just want to enjoy the views. But for many travelers, a guided tour offers a much richer experience – especially if it’s your first time. When you visit Caminito del Rey with a guide, you won’t just walk the famous cliffs and cross the hanging bridge. You’ll also understand what you’re looking at, from the industrial history and hydroelectric plants to the geology and fossils hidden in the limestone walls. A good guide brings the story of the path to life, including how it got its name from King Alfonso XIII and how it went from dangerous to fully restored. Guided tours also take care of the logistics. You won’t have to figure out shuttle buses, check-in points, or time slots on your own. Everything is organized for you, so you can just focus on enjoying the walk.
